in the last weekI attended the Beyond the Black concert last night (they were brilliant) and was on the access list. In the past, I have always been extremely happy with the arrangement being able to get a stool against the balcony rail so that I had an unimpeded view and my friend was also very happy being next to me. However, The Ritz trialled a new position for the access patrons near the bar and I'm afraid that I preferred the original set up. I accept that the seats were comfy and they were directly in front of the stage but my view was spoilt by people standing at the balcony rail and I was continually twisting around trying to see past their heads. Maybe if the seats were up on a small platform 1/2 foot high that would lift us above the heads it would be good. My friend didn't like the position and after he got me a drink, he moved where he could see better. As usual the staff were really nice and helpful.
